    Description

    Fantastic Rare
    Abraham Palatnik Art    ANTEATER
Another one of the more desirable Palatniks, a very unusual animal to begin with, but done in a beautifully artistic manner.
I love the juxtaposition of the tail design against the more tradition lines on the body.
Signed Pal on the neck.  I was in awe, checking this one over, at the pristine condition! Black Made in Brazil sticker on foot.
    Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!!!
I will be listing the rest of my extensive collection to sell over the next few weeks.  Please check my other listings for more great figures!
I can combine items to save on shipping.
Please explore the pictures for more details.
If you are familiar with Palatnik's art, you know the value of his rare lucite sculptures.
Some of the more common ones can be bought fairly easily.  Others are nearly priceless.
If this is your first exposure to his kinetic art, please do a search on Abraham Palatnik, from Brazil.  You will find fascinating material documenting his experimentation with lucite, acrylic, resin and other materials.  He has been called a Pioneer of Kinetic Art, using kinechromatic devices,
    mobiles and creations.
His Vintage artwork complements art and decor from the 60's and 70's, embodying that
    artsy retro feel of the
    Eames era,
    Danish Modern,
    Mid Century Modern, MCM or
    Art Deco.
This figure is created in Palatnik's traditional method, consisting of two lucite halves with an interior plate that has been covered with the colorful design and usually signed with his signature, usually Pal, but more rarely, the full name Palatnik.
The surface of these animals is sooooo enticing.  I don't know what process Palatnik used in making the lucite, but it is nothing at all like today's common lucite or plastic.  You put it in your hand and you KNOW you're holding the real thing!
I have been told that Mr. Palatnik destroyed the molds and processes that he used in the creation of these great works of modern op art.  I have never seen anyone else come even close to replicating them.
Thank you so much for looking!
I have over 100 additional Palatniks to list, so please check back as I list them.
    Thanks!
    Shipping will be well packed.
