Exceptionally well cast and from a good quality art deco gilt “art bronze” and bisque head, feet and hands, figure depicting a young Japanese Geisha holding a lamp which works by Dominique Alonzo c1915/20.  Look at the pictures, these will tell much more than my description. In very nice condition, no repairs and is absolute as depicted on my pictures. Only the electricity is not original anymore, but that is normal. Signed on the base and there is also the foundry mark. The gilt needs a cleaning if you prefer, I don’t. This sculpture is about 18 ¾” (48cm). Please note that this antique figure is not cast in bronze but in gilt bronze patinated white metal or also spelter. (Spelter is a metal alloy which contains zinc).
Wonderful figural lamp of a Japanese lady wearing a kimono holding a glass lantern which works, she is made of gilt spelter while her head, hands and feet are bisque porcelain, signed on the back "Alonzo D" and foundry mark seal, also has a title plaque "Japonoaise", normal wear to patina commensurate with age, lantern works, 18.75" height.   An absolute must for lovers or collectors.
