Pair of Antique Art Nouveau patinated white metal ( spelter ) figures.
Italy , circa 1925.
This is a PRETTY Pair of ANTIQUE white metal ( spelter ) statues.
Totally in the Art Nouveau taste and period.
Each one is titled, one is PAPILLON and the other is LIBELLULE.
Both done after the famous Italian sculptor F.Flora ( Francesco Flora , born 1857 ).
The one titled Libellule, depicting a woman, nicely dressed in the Art Nouveau style, holding a Dragonfly ( Libellule ) in her right hand, flowers in her left hand.
Resting on an Art Nouveau base.
All decorated with flowers, plants.
Titled on the base ( Libellule ) par F. Flora ( see photos ).
The second one is titled Papillon, depicting a woman holding in her right hand flowers, and the Papillon ( butterfly ) is missing from her left hand.
( see last photo ), ( remaining small piece looks like a flower ).
Also nicely dressed in the Art Nouveau style, resting on a well decorated base, flowers and plants.

Both statues make you dream.
Nice shape, nice pose, and a high quality detail.

H : 21 1/4 inches ( 55 cm ) each.
W : Papillon : 10 inches ( 25.5 cm ) maximum width.
W : Libellule : 8 inches ( 23 cm ) maximum width.
D : 6 inches ( 15 cm ) each.
Condition report :
No chips, cracks or any damage to the metal ( except for what I mentioned above for the missing butterfly in Papillon ).
Both with the original patina.
Discoloration to the patina, consistent with age and use.
Minor oxidation to the metal, consistent with age and use.
Each one has its title ( plaque )
I cleaned and waxed both statues.
Clean and ready to be placed.
