    The Sphinx I`ll bet you`ve heard of her! She was the riddle who was part woman part lion. She killed anyone who couldn`t answer her riddles, but wouldn`t let anyone through the gates she stood in front of unless they could (answer her riddle that is). When Oedipus finally did, Sphinx stopped terrorizing Thebes and went away. She was a daughter of Echidna (see above). Sphinx means "Throttler." A fine art bronze sculpture which will become a family heirloom. This majestic sculpture measures 12"tall x 7" wide. A fine hand tooled bronze created from wax casting. The bronze is finished in a dark brown polish enhancing the beauty of the art. Her skin tones with a golden bronze finish, Her voluptuous figure is accented by her lovely face is graced with her long hair tresses. The unique pedestal has Sphinx Woman creating the feet of the pedestal guarding the Woman.This sculpture was crafted using the lost wax method. It rests on a black marble base and is signed by artist Aldo Vitaleh.
