    History
The cubes (dice) a favorite game of children and adults in ancient Greece. They were made of different materials (clay, ivory, animal bones, metal). Homer mentions that the Achaean Hero Palamedes invented dice so that the besiegers of Troy would have something to do in their spare time. The use of dice was utilized also as form of divination as well as in temples in order to compose an Oracle. The dice fortune telling became an important kind of divining art.
